Support Bros, Bows, & Boos 2025

Get involved with our 7th Annual Bros, Bows, & Boos Fall Fest this October to make a lasting impact in our local community! By sponsoring this event, your business will gain valuable exposure and help us enhance the lives of families at DHR through initiatives like our KICK Bag program, The Den at DHR, and other events throughout the year.

Join us in creating a safe, joyful, and welcoming space for families, and together, let’s support the children in our care. Learn more about event partnership, volunteering at the event, and how you can get involved by setting up a Trunk in our Trunk or Treating area!

Partnership Opportunities!

Did you know…

  • A Platinum Partnership can cover 40 KICK Bags (average cost of $130 each) to cover 2 months at The Den at DHR. Currently, we serve an average of 30 children entering foster care each month in Madison County, Alabama.
  • A Gold Partnership can cover the costs of our storage costs for inventory and off-season items, ensuring children are never without the essentials.
  • A Silver Partnership allows us to purchase 20 pairs of new shoes for children entering foster care with nothing, some even, without shoes on their feet.
  • A Bronze Partnership helps cover ethnic hair care items for 25 children, supporting those with different hair care needs.

Trunk-or-Treat & Vendor Opportunities!

Trunks/Vendor Spots – Limited to only 40 spots!
Join us for our Fall Fest and take part in the Trunk-or-Treat fun by decorating your vehicle! We welcome participation from businesses, churches, community organizations, other non-profits, individuals and more. Bring your vehicle or set up your table with candy, giveaways, and information about your organization—whatever you’d like to share! In 2024, we welcomed over 600 attendees!

There are no fees to participate; however, we kindly ask for a suggested donation of a new item to help stock The Den at DHR, our essential needs closet for children entering care. You can find a list of our most needed items here. Our top priorities include new shoes, ethnic hair care products, and pajamas.

So far in 2025, we have served more than 125 children entering foster care through The Den!

Volunteer Opportunities!

MCFAPA is powered by the dedication of volunteers, many of whom are foster, adoptive, or kinship families themselves. If a sponsorship is not possible for your business at this time, there are still many impactful ways to support our cause. We invite you to consider volunteering, offering in-kind donations, or sharing your skills—whether through hair care services (barbers, beauticians, etc.) or by contributing items for our giveaways and silent auction. Your business, youth groups, and organizations can play a vital role in making this event a success. Community partnerships like yours are essential in driving positive change for the children and families we serve.

MCFAPA is a nonprofit organization in Partnership with Grandparents as Parents (GAP). Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for foster, adoptive, and kinship children and their families. We are dedicated to supporting our community through various initiatives, including:

  • KICK (Kids in Care Kits) Bags: Each month, we provide essential items to an average of 30 children entering foster care through The Den at DHR, our essential needs closet.
  • Advocacy: We actively advocate for the rights and needs of foster, adoptive, and kinship care families in and around Madison County.
  • Family Training & Support: We offer monthly training events for our families, complete with free childcare, dinner, and continuing education hours to help them thrive.
  • MCFAPA Equipment & Clothing Exchange: Our families have access to free items, including equipment and clothing, through our exchange program.
  • Food & Clothing Distribution: Through local partnerships, we provide families with food, meals, new clothing, and other essential items.
  • Community Events: Throughout the year, we host free events to bring families together and celebrate their resilience and strength.
