It’s with a heavy heart that we have to announce that our February 2024 MCFAPA meeting at The Rock Family Worship Center will be our last meeting for now. Unfortunately due to transitions, we are unable to keep this location as our meeting space after February’s meeting.
We have been so blessed that The Rock allowed us to gather in their building over the last 4 years. We started our meetings there in March of 2020 and literally 2 weeks after our first meeting, the world shut down due to COVID. We shifted to virtual meetings via Zoom for the remainder of the year and picked back up again in 2021.
Not only have they allowed us to use their meeting space, but they have graciously provided dinner to all MCFAPA attendees. They also coordinated childcare on those nights. Our Kids Clothing Center opened up before our meetings to serve our families and Team Builderz provided freezer meals as well.
We will continue looking for a new meeting location in the meantime. Our biggest hurdle is childcare and reliable volunteers to assist once a month. We are currently exploring a few options but we may need to go virtual in the meantime. If we do, the time may be around 7pm and run for an hour. If you know of any local churches that might want to open their space and provide a few childcare workers, please let us know.
