On Friday, November 15th the Madison County Foster & Adoptive Parent Association was the beneficiaries of Infinity Tax & Financial Planning‘s 1st Annual Gratitude Gala. This Gala was for Infinity’s investment clients as a way to give back to the local community.
Attendees arrived at The Ledges with donations of new clothing to benefit The Den by MCFAPA – the clothing closet at DHR for children coming into care. Music was provided by Cotton and Clover. There were also raffles and ways to donate to MCFAPA during the event. During this event, $3295 was raised for MCFAPA in addition to nearly 3 tables full of clothing.
We want to thank Andy Zorovich and Rachel Campbell from Infinity Tax for putting on such a great event!
Save the Date! #GivingTuesday is December 3! We’re proud to be a part of this global celebration of giving. As there are numerous organizations out there doing wonderful work, we hope that you will join in supporting MCFAPA as we continue to care for those in care here in Madison County! Visit the Giving Tuesday website to find out more or hit the donate button on this page to give!
Several local Huntsville news stations were in attendance as MCFAPA delivered over 320 new pairs of shoes and thousands of pairs of socks and underwear to Madison County DHR. These items will ensure that children coming into care have the neccesseties needed to make it through their first day and night.
We appreciate all of the help to make this happen. Thank you to Quantitech in Action for the $5,000 grant that was used to purchase the shoes. Thanks to Academy Sports in Madison for helping procure different sizes and styles from stores all around the SE. BIG thank you to the businesses, churches, and citizens of Madison County that helped with our Drop Your Drawers drive.
We are excited to officially announce the KICK off of our new bags! All placements coming into care, as well as kinship & grand families, will receive a MCFAPA KICK (Kids In Care Kit) Bag. DHR workers are able to “shop” very easily for all the essentials to get a child through their first day and night in care.
All bags will have one complete outfit, one set of PJs, a new pair of shoes, socks, underwear, toiletries, & a Xander Bunny courtesy of Lavender Life Company. Depending on the child’s needs, hair care products, bottles, pacifiers, or even diapers and wipes might be included.
If you happen to get a placement over the weekend or are a kinship family, we got you! Complete a request form here and we can try to get one to you as quickly as possible.
