The Madison County Foster & Adoptive Parent Association (MCFAPA) is dedicated to improving the lives of children in Madison County, Alabama—particularly those touched by the foster care system. We also stand alongside adoptive families and kinship/relative caregivers, providing meaningful support, resources, and advocacy.
Our Goals:
- Raise awareness in the community about foster care, adoption, and kinship/relative caregiving.
- Advocate for foster, adoptive, and kinship families, as well as the children they serve.
- Enhance education and provide valuable learning opportunities for caregivers.
- Offer training, including continuing education (CEU) opportunities, for foster families.
- Strengthen communication between families, the Department of Human Resources (DHR), and other community partners.
